Assessment
- Treatment - Follow-Up
1. Diagnostic Assessment
The first phase is diagnostic. A consultation is scheduled to assess your individual needs and design
a strategy specifically for you. Naturally, this is not done with hypnosis, but is a personal conversation at the office with
Dr. Phillips. Although this phase can often be a single one-hour visit, a deeper assessment may be required and more
time would then be scheduled.
2. Treatment
The second phase is your actual course of Hypnotherapy. This
can range from as little as one 2-hour meeting to a sequence of several meetings, depending on your individual requirements.
While you are seated in a comfortable chair, Dr.
Phillips verbally guides you into a hypnotic state, which is very similar to meditation. You're actually awake, but in a deep
state of relaxation that allows access to deeper resources within yourself to facilitate positive change.
3. Follow-up
This is the third stage. As time passes, the purpose is to carefully monitor your progress
along the way and to make any necessary adjustments.
